Running Blind Holiday Dinner - once a year we make an effort to gather a group of our supporters for a nice dinner, usually in Ypsilanti. It is challenging for blind people to travel, so we pay for Uber rides to allow all of our members to be able to participate. It's a great night to gather together and talk about life and Running Blind and give thanks to many of the people that have supported us. Below is a group shot of the 2018 dinner held on Dec. 27 at Aubrey's in Ypsi attended by Amy Shepherd and her son Austin, Gwen and Jim Botting (of OUB), Hope Springstead, board member Geri Feigelson. board member Tom Gardner, and RB Founder Hal Wolfe.

Running Blind / OUB Adventure Camps - Running Blind has partnered with Opportunities Unlimited for the Blind (OUB) to host a number of adventure camps starting in 2014. It is a great opportunity for Running Blind to contribute our energy and resources to a large group or visually impaired youth and young adults (who are OUB staffers). It's a lot of work but also can be a lot of fun.
(Please see our
Adventure Camp trip reports for details and lots of great pictures!)
Gallup Gallop - thanks to the generosity of the Ann Arbor Track Club, the Gallup Gallop 5K was a fundraiser for Running Blind for 4 years. However due to complications with the park and a drop in attendance and race revenue, and the overall workload, Hal stepped down as the RD for this event in 2017.
The Run Like Hal Jingle Bell Fun Run was a non-competitive family
oriented run / walk held in mid-December starting from the Michigan Theater in
Ann Arbor. It was inspired by a similar event that Elmo Morales hosted for many years. Hal hosted it for five years from 2010 to 2014 as a fundraiser for Running Blind.
